Commercial Water Damage – Chicago
Commercial water damage struck this Chicago office when a water line to a bathroom sprung a big leak. The incident happened overnight and was discovered when employees opened up the office in the morning. The pooling water is evident in the before photo. When our emergency crews of trained technicians encounter situations such as this, they know they must work quickly to minimize any secondary damage to the site such as damage to files or electrical equipment. They would begin the project by locating the source of the water and facilitating repair of the leak. They would then begin cleaning up the water. In this case where the carpeting was commercial grade our technicians would choose wet-vacs with rotating wand extensions to suction up the water. Next, they would position commercial air movers and dehumidifiers throughout the water damaged area to aid the drying process and assure that air quality and humidity was returned to normal ranges.
