Water Damage - Chicago Condominium
Water damage at this empty Chicago condo was allowed to stand for quite a long period of time before it was discovered by a real estate agent showing the unit. Standing water on engineered flooring given enough time will penetrate to the subfloor below which in this case was porous concrete. This floor covering would need to be removed to dry the subflooring and then the floor would need to be replaced. The water would need to be suctioned up. The floor would be demolished, and commercial air movers and dehumidifiers would be set up to dry the saturated subfloor. SERVPRO of Marquette Park / West Lawn / Ford City can provide all these services using state of the art equipment and trained and certified technicians.
