Water Restoration in a Chicago Restroom
The tiles in this Chicago commercial building contained the water leak from affecting the underlying subfloor. However, in the course of the night with several inches of standing water, the baseboards and walls were ruined. Ceramic wall tiles can protect the walls from contact with water, but when the liquid wicks in from the base area, the drywall is ruined, with no chance of drying it out. SERVPRO ASD applied structural drying techs can extract the water, demolish the non-salvageable building elements, and then place green axial air movers, and dehus (dehumidifiers) to remove any remaining water and moisture. Sensors can verify when the moisture content has been restored to standard levels, then after spraying of an antimicrobial agent, the rebuilding of this damaged restroom can begin.
