Storm Flooded Ford City Basement
SERVPRO technicians arrived on the scene to extract the standing water on the concrete floor of this basement in Ford City. The damage was negligent as long as the moisture was quickly removed from the air, and more slowly, from the concrete pad. Not shown, heaters and dehumidifiers plucked the water molecules from the air and drew it out of the semi-porous cement base. No rusting or other damage was caused to the furnace, but a demolition was needed on one very wet wall. The damaged material was removed and discarded according to local codes, and the exposed lumber was then sprayed with an antifungal agent to help stop future potential mold growths.
