Water Damage from an Open Window
The driving rain saturated the carpet, baseboards, and the lower section of the walls in this Chicago bedroom. Note the water stains on the walls. The open window, at ground level, was the culprit. We swiftly moved the furniture to prevent further damage and then suctioned out the standing water. The non-salvageable flooring material, insulation, and drywall were discarded. It was crucial to extract the remaining moisture with air movers and dehumidifiers to prevent secondary damages to the home. It took several days to dry out the concrete pad. Moisture meters indicated all was good to go for the rebuild portion of our service. Trust SERVPRO for emergency assistance. (773) 337-3993
