Washing Machine and Mold

The drain hose to this washing machine in a Chicago apartment was partially clogged and leaked water inside the wall. We moved out the appliance and demolished the wall to dry out the moisture, but also to spray an antifungal agent to exterminate any remaining remnants of the mold. We used a HEPA hand vacuum extension to suction up the dust and mold during the demolition. When the remediation was completed, we painted our primer to seal the studs and to finish the service in a professional manner. By containing that utility room in the house, we also prevented mold spores from circulating to other parts of the unit.
