Commercial Water Damage – Chicago Office Building

Commercial water damage occurred at this Chicago office building when an overhead pipe sprung a large leak overnight. SERVPRO of Marquette Park / West Lawn / Ford City was brought in to clean up the water and repair the damage to the ceiling and walls. The subfloor underneath the carpeting had become thoroughly saturated, so we were forced to take up the carpet to dry the subfloor properly. We used commercial air movers and dehumidifiers to dry the affected areas including the subfloor. When the drying phase was completed, we put new carpeting down.
